What will the 7 aside format be like?  Will we be using linesmen and will offside be called?  Are you signing up linesmen also or will the teams provide linesmen?

Offside will be called. No linesmen will be assigned by the league, please provide them if the referee asks.

U8’s & U10’s will play 8 a side.

Who is the age coordinator or commissioner?

There are no age group coordinators during the 7 A Side Season (September to November). If you still have questions, you may contact the scheduler at: Schedule@oahuleague.com

When is the Team Registration due?

No Late Registrations will be accepted 

How much are the team fees?

The team fees are $375.00 per slot for the 7 and 8 a side

*Note: This is to guarantee receipt of player passes prior to the start of the season; you may still add players after this date.

The size of the ball for U8 as listed in the manual, reads size #3. The boys that we have been using size #4, do we use #4 or do we have to switch to #3 (for both game and practice)?

A size#3 is required for games only.

Does HYSA have medical coverage for the children? Is it effective for games AND practices?

Yes, HYSA has a secondary insurance for all registered players that will cover them at both practices and games.

Registration Questions

 

The request for copy of the birth certificate, will a copy suffice with the application? Or do we need to get an original copy from the board of health?

A copy will do.

 

On the Membership Form I need to find out the LEAGUE NAME, DIV, and in the code area-REGION, DISTRICT, LEAGUE, CLUB, TEAM. SSN.

That is a use code and does not need to be filled in and the league does not require the SSN.

 

Do I send in the original or a copy of the membership form?

A copy is all the league requires. You should keep the original, as you will need it for the medical release.

 

How much is the player registration fee?

Player Registration Fees are: $40.00/player

 

If the Coach filled out a disclosure form last year does he or she need to
fill out another one this year?

Yes, because we are starting new we wish to update all the files.

To who is the disclosure form mailed?

The disclosure forms are sent to the league registrar at Soccerama, 930 Hauoli St .

 

Can I put a boy on a girl’s team?

No, if a boy is listed on a team, it is a boy’s team. In the Oahu league, you must have 7 boys registered on the boy’s team in order to play in the league.

 

What is the number of players allowed on the team?

U8’s to U10’s are allowed a maximum of 14 players per team. U11’s to U19’s are allowed a maximum of 18 players per team.

 

 

Please note your team number may change. Your team designation is according to your oldest player. You may not have a team designation number of 11’s and only have U10 players on your team. You must have at least (1) U11 player on your team
