OL Assignor Guidelines

USSF certified referees are assigned Oahu League (OL) assignments based upon the following criteria in an attempt to match the referee’s ability with the competition level of the match.
   
the referee’s USSF grade (and age of youth referees).

the referee’s fitness.
the referee’s demonstration of game management.
the referee’s acceptance by players and coaches.
attendance at USSF, OL and other referee clinics.
participates in USSF physical tests.
   
   
comments from Boardmembers, coaches and referee peers (and assessors and mentors when permission is given) regarding observed performances.
demonstration of a receptive attitude in accepting comments from assessors and peers and the use of these comments to become a better referee.
the referee is professional in interactions with coaches and players and interacts with and treats coaches and players in a respectful way.
   
   
requests for matches for upgrade, maintenance and developmental assessments.
   
   
history of attending OL pre-season referee meetings.
history of supporting the OL by requesting assignments.
follows guidelines as described in Referee Advisory and Seasonal Guidelines.
submits on-line game report and game cards on time.
submits Send-Off Reports correctly and on-time; sends in game card with player pass on time.
requests assignments and accepts assignments when given.
confirms assignments within 24 hours.
shows up for assignments and notifies Assignor 72 hours in advance of
emergency cancellations.
receives positive evaluation comments from coaches.
is a “30/80/DZ/Report” referee.
informs the Assignor when the Assignor makes a mistake or shows favoritism and suggests ways to improve the assignments.
   
   
keeps the Assignor out of trouble with the Board by following prescribed
guidelines and not screwing up!
